Mid-Century Entryway Table, Italy, 1950s

Console is a graceful hallway table made in Italy in the late 1950s. This table was entirely handcrafted by skilled artisans, and I personally restored it to return it to its former glory. The body is made of black lacquered iron and features four precious brass feet with their original patina. In my opinion, the brass patina is valuable because it attests to the age of the item. The top is made of warm and durable teak, handcrafted by a talented woodworker. You can find evidence of his refined work in many details—take a look at the drawer’s joints! The bottom part features an interesting red shelf with precious brass details. The shelf is adorned with an elegant and unique dot and flower decoration. It can be used to store your favorite books or newspapers, hats, slippers, or your coziest blanket.

This antique piece of furniture is in great condition and was originally designed as a hallway table. Please note that there is a matching mirror available called “Pentagono,” as seen in the last few pictures. The console is a very versatile piece and can be used in any room, such as your living room, kitchen, or even your bathroom to store your creams and towels.
