Despite being over a century old, this intricate mantilla is as colorful and perfect as the day it was made. Similar in complexity to a piano shawl but half the traditional size (and twice as delicate) it is one of the most exquisite we have ever seen. Entirely handmade, its subtle color, delicate workmanship recalls designs by Maison Lesage.
*From the personal collection of Mme. Gilberte Garros, sister of French war aviator and French Open namesake Roland Garros.*
