1970s Lapid Israel Stoneware Vase

Magnificent bold and graphic design on this fat lava glaze stoneware vase by Lapid Pottery Works Israel. The objects manufactured at Lapid were hand-painted, mostly by women, as piecework. In order to demonstrate how much money was due, each completed item was signed on the base by the worker. In this case, the piece is signed “Lapid Israel Katin” It measures 7½ inches tall. Mint condition. Late 1960s.
