Tall Mid-Century Scandinavian Style 6-Drawer Dresser, 1960s

The piece is made of wood, with a teak-colored veneer finish with warm, golden hues, and a shiny, tiger-striped effect that will catch any eye in an entryway, bedroom, hallway or living room.

The front of the dresser features 6, chamfered drawers (rare to find), that all open and close properly and all have their original, pale-gold, colored knobs. The interior of each drawer is very clean; each one has its original shelving/ drawer paper, with some slight, older, traces of previous usage (see photos.)

The spindle legs, add height, elegance and lightness to the overall look of the piece. All 4 legs are removable, if needed.

Piece is in overall very good, original and vintage condition, with light marks, signs of age and previous usage commensurate with time, as well as patina of time, on the overall structure, top, edges, side panels, knobs and feet, as is expected for a piece of this age (see photos.) The top surface is smooth, with light traces of age and use and a patina of time. A mark on the top, right hand front edge (see photos with a 1 centime coin for perspective.) Small marks of time, on the lower left and right bottom edge and panel of the piece (see photos.) Some small lacks of veneer on the rear, back edge of the left side of the piece (see photos), as well as the bottom, rear edge of the left hand side (see photos), none of which affect the beauty or functionality of the piece.

The sleek, modern design of the dresser with its sharp-edged side panels, brings a dynamism and original look to the whole piece. It is stable, solid, sturdy and the drawers are all functional. It has only been gently cleaned and polished with respect to the original rich colors and patina.
