Dimensions: H x W x D: 86 x 91 x 51 cm
Strictly cubist piece of furniture standing on square feet with small black plinths.
The symmetrically laid cherry wood grain pattern on the three-tier front also runs through to the crosspieces.
The sides are also veneered in mirror image. Here we see strongly varying light-dark contrasts within the two veneer sheets. The dark areas belong to the heartwood, the light areas to the sapwood of the cut trunk.
The top panel of the chest of drawers also presents a harmonious picture.
All corner joints of the furniture are neatly finger-jointed. You can see how the carcass parts have been dovetailed in the photo, which shows the chest of drawers lying on its back. In this picture, you can also see the traces of the roughing plane used to smooth the base plate.
The craftsmanship of the drawers can also be clearly seen in one of the photos. The three box locks are preserved.
