Archie Shine Sideboard Gorgeous Mid Century Hamilton Sideboard In Sapele By Robert Heritage For Archie Shine, Owned By The Same Family Since New, Circa 1950s. Robert Heritage designed the “Hamilton” sideboard for Archie Shine and in the process won a Design Centre Award for this sideboard in 1958. Robert Heritage is synonymous with great British design, and cabinetmaker Archie Shine pioneered the Scandinavian style in Britain in the late 1950s and 60s. A large proportion of Heritage’s work produced by Archie Shine was retailed through the renowned furniture store Heals This delightfully original sideboard in Ribbon Figured Sapele & Teak features four drawers with a Reeded finish, The top one with original intact green baize lined cutlery inserts, The double doors open out to reveal 2 large, 2 tiered shaped shelved cupboards with vast storage space. The detail is superb with raised rear lip, turned polished brass trumpet handles, narrow tapered legs with a fine decorative dado.
