Two-piece cocktail dress ensemble with strapless slip dress and contrasting tunic of silk plissé. Dress features silk ribbon hanging straps (which may also be worn as spaghetti straps) and gathered elastic top opening; asymmetrical hemline plunges from hip on one side to mid-calf on opposite. Tunic features one-sleeve construction and gathered lettuce-edge top opening. May be worn with full sleeve on or off shoulder and can be worn with hemline matching or opposing dress; slip dress may also be worn as a skirt, as did the designer’s wife. Both pieces lettuce edge hems; unlined but opaque.
