Vintage Design
This hand-carved and decorated wooden rococo Lounge Chair from the mid-18th century embodies timeless French elegance. It has inspiration from a classic French armchair, though this chair is made and produced in Denmark during the period of the mid 1800s up until 1900, where the Danish architects seeked inspiration from their french collegues. The Chairs features a curved back with intricate carvings, cabriole legs, and a curved apron adorned with Louis XV floral motifs. The graceful scroll feet and overall design make it a perfect fit for a French provincial or Hamptons-style home.
The velvet upholstery is in near-perfect condition, incredibly soft and light, offering a beautiful contrast to the deep color of the wood. The seat’s springs remain firm and strong, and the solid frame is in near perfect condition.
