This original fully stamped Mundus Vienna Austria, bentwood high back chair. A very good looking well made piece dating to circa 1920. It is bentwood much the same as Thonet and extremely comfortable. A rare shape and size, slightly taller than a normal chair and with a higher back rest The seats is original as is the back rest, it has an almost crocodile alligator patina to it. Condition wise, it has been cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom and is in ready to go condition. The Knoll International Barcelona table, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich for the German Pavilion at the 1929 World Exhibition, is characterized by a pure composition structure, a sleek rectangular design with an ‘X’-shaped frame of flat steel beams, and a square tabletop of 1.5 cm thick glass. The frame is made of polished chrome and is a single piece. This minimalist design makes the Barcelona table an iconic example of modernist design from the early 20th century. This version is from the 1970s and is in reasonably good vintage condition with superficial scratches on the top and small chips on the corners of the top.
