Truly one of a kind antique pine Kitchen Dresser/Buffet. Unique decorative patters, beautiful hand carvings are found on this piece. Top and Bottom cupboard with middle shelf. Top cupboard has glass in doors. Three smaller drawers on top part. Two larger drawers in the base. Fully restored, stripped and waxed. In room condition.

Buffet at support height in ‘Boulle’ and cut brass, on a blackened pear tree.
It opens on the facade by a pronounced curve with a medallion underlined by a finely chiseled brass wand. Its center has a decor of bouquet on a flared pedestal and sheltered by a dome, all surrounded by a couple of birds, foliage, garlands of leaves … Similar marquetries garnish the corners of this door, also embellished from bronzes, one of them forming the entrance to a lock in operating condition. This piece of furniture is supplied with its original key.
There are many other ornaments on the whole of this piece of furniture. Thus busts of women, bronze falls, harshs, nets and brass galleries, or marquetries ‘Boulle’ embellish its rounded uprights, its curved sides, and its high and bass crosspieces.
The mahogany interior consists of two shelves of the same wood, with songs of chanting and blackened facade. They are placed on racks and therefore adjustable as desired on a total storage height of 74.5 cm.
Its top is a white marble, with contours marrying the curved lines of the furniture.
The back is oak.

Military Library/Office – 1970s – Mann Egerton

The Mann Egerton Military Bookshelf/Desk is a superb example of retro utilitarian style in teak. This bookcase was manufactured by Mann Egerton in 1977 for the Army, as indicated by the “broad arrow” mark stamped on the underside.

As with all British military furniture, this piece has been designed to last and is manufactured to a very high standard. A very solid and heavy piece.

The drawers work smoothly and the desk opens cleanly. Fully functional original locks and keys.

Very important Renaissance period chest transformed into a two-door sideboard in the 19th century. Composed of many details carved in wood. This buffet is richly decorated and testifies to the talent of the cabinetmaker. Angels, tracery, medallions, plants, shells etc. can be seen there. The hasp lock is period and is used today as a decoration.
It was common in the 19th century to transform old medieval and Renaissance chests into more common furniture such as sideboards.
Carried the letters “P.KEC” engraved on the facade can an abbreviation of the name of the first owner of the furniture.
